Welcome to the Clinton Redskin Baseball Website.
Clinton is a Class C / Division 3 school
in southeastern Michigan. We compete in the Tri-County Conference, an
eight team league comprised of class C and D schools.

Clinton - The host
Redskins went 2-1 in their third annual Memorial weekend tournament.
Edging Jonesville 6-5 in a ten inning marathon, mercied Lenawee
Christian 11-1 and lost the finale 13-5 to the neighboring Indians from
Tecumseh. The Redskins set new team season records in Stolen bases
(148) and Base on Balls (164). Tied the team record for wins (21) and
are just 2 hits away from tying the record for hits (275) and 8 runs
from tying the runs record (252).
5/23/2008 - Tied at the top -

Clinton—The
Redskins (Overall 19-14, TCC 11-3) faced Sand Creek in a game for the
outright title. The Redskins already locked up a share of the
Tri-County Conference title but had a chance to win the title outright.
The Redskins fell just short losing to Sand Creek 2-1. Rylie Robinson
took the loss in the game allowing 2 runs, both unearned, while striking
out eight, which puts his total strikeouts on the year at 101. Marcus
Stewart, Michael Bohnett, Travis Houghton, and Stephen Cooley each had a
hit. Stewart had the only RBI for the Redskins when he drove in Hayden
Craig in the first inning.
5/20/2008 - Clinton
handles Adrian Madison 15-5 and 7-2. -

Adrian—The
Redskins (Overall 17-13, TCC 11-2) were in charge for the entire
doubleheader. Stephen Cooley earned the win while allowing 3 earned
runs, walking two and striking out 2. Offensively, Rylie Robinson had 4
hits including a double, Hayden Craig had three hits including a double,
Jesse Sexton had two doubles, Dan Thomas, Marcus Stewart, Travis
Houghton each had a hit as well. In game two Marcus Stewart took the
win allowing two earned runs, walking four, and striking out seven.
Stephen Cooley had two hits including his first career homerun. Jesse
Sexton and Will Sanborn each added to the hit parade with two hits
each. Marcus Stewart added his first career homerun as well. Brandon
Brewer, Travis Houghton, Dan Thomas, and Rylie Robinson each had a hit.
5/19/2008 - Robinson
strikes out 14 against Morenci in a 12-0 win.-

Redskins (Overall 15-13, TCC 9-2) and Rylie Robinson traveled to Morenci
and won in convincing fashion. Robinson struck out a career high 14
while allowing three hits, zero earned runs. Brandon Brewer (3 RBI),
Travis Houghton, Nate Dreslinski (2 RBI), Stephen Cooley, and Mike
Bohnett each had two hits apiece. Rylie Robinson also had a single.
Jesse Sexton scored three runs.
5/17/2008 - Clinton wins against Whitmore Lake -

on the mound. Robinson struck out 5 while walking only one. Will
Sanborn had two hits. Jesse Sexton, Hayden Craig, Brandon Brewer, and
Travis Houghton each had a hit.

earned the win. Cooley struck out 10 while allowing 2 walks. Tim Snell
(4 RBI) had three hits, Nate Dreslinski had two hits, and Michael
Bohnett, Hayden Craig, Rylie Robinson, Jesse Sexton, and Brandon Brewer
each supplied a hit. In game two, the slugfest ended with Will Sanborn
earning the loss. Sanborn and Michael Bohnett each had three hits.
Nate Dreslinski and Tim Snell each had two hits. Brandon Brewer had a
triple. Travis Houghton, Hayden Craig, and Jesse Sexton each had a
hit. In game three Will Sanborn suffered the loss again. Michael
Bohnett, Travis Houghton, Rylie Robinson, and Hayden Craig all had hits.
5/12/2008 - Redskins stay alive in TCC

Clinton—The
Redskins (Overall 14-11, TCC 7-2) beat Britton-Deerfield 7-4. Marcus
Stewart earned the victory while throwing 6 innings, allowing 5 hits, 2
earned runs, 2 walks, and striking out 5. Tim Snell had 2 hits
including a triple. Will Sanborn also supplied two hits. Michael
Bohnett, Rylie Robinson, Marcus Stewart, Stephen Cooley, and Jesse
Sexton all had hits.
5/10/08 - Redskins start fast, but
fall short -

Gibraltar—The
Redskins (Overall 13-11, TCC 6-2) beat Trenton 5-2 and lose to Carlson
4-1 and Flat Rock 10-6 in the Gibraltar Carlson Wood Bat Tournament.
Stephen Cooley was the winning pitcher against Trenton. Cooley went a
complete game and allowed 3 hits, 0 earned runs, 3 walks, and struck out
6. Cooley offensively had 2 RBI. Rylie Robinson, Marcus Stewart, and
Tim Snell each provided 2 hits apiece. Michael Bohnett, Jesse Sexton,
and Travis Houghton all had singles. In the second game against host
Gibraltar Calrson, Rylie Robinson suffered the loss. Robinson went the
distance but fell short allowing 3 earned run while walking 2 and
striking out ten. The offense could only muster two hits by Tim Snell
and Brandon Brewer. In the nightcap, the Redskins faced Flat Rock and
Marcus Stewart suffered the loss. Travis Hougton had two hits,
including a double. Hayden Craig had a double, while Tim Snell, Marcus
Stewart and Rylie Robinson all added singles.
5/5/08 - Redskins Gutsy in split with
Whiteford - Box Score
Ottawa Lake—The
Redskins (Overall 12-9, TCC 6-2) traveled to Ottawa Lake to take on
Whiteford. The Redskins came away with a split. The loss was the first
for Whiteford in the league. In game one, the Redskins were beat 13-3.
Marcus Stewart suffered the loss while allowing only 3 earned runs. Tim
Snell and Jesse Sexton led the offense with two hits apiece. Snell also
drove in all 3 RBI. Rylie Robinson and Stewart both had hits as well.
In game 2, the game went to extra innings and the Redskins prevailed
7-6. Stephen Cooley picked up the win with a perfect relief 8th
inning. Rylie Robinson started and threw 7 innings allowing 3 earned
runs while striking out 4. Jesse Sexton led the offense with 2 hits
including a 3 run homerun. The homerun was Sexton’s second of the
year. Michael Bohnett, Rylie Robinson, Travis Houghton, Will Sanborn,
and Hayden Craig all had singles.

Redskins (Overall 11-8, TCC 5-1) beat Morenci 7-2 behind a great
pitching performance from Stephen Cooley. Cooley threw a complete game
6 hit, 2 earned run performance while striking out 8. Travis Houghton
had 2 hits, 2 RBI, and stole 3 bases. Michael Bohnett, Marcus Stewart,
and Jesse Sexton all had doubles. Tim Snell, Cooley, Brandon Brewer,
Nate Dreslinski all had hits. Rylie Robinson had 4 stolen bases.
4/28/08 - Redskins Hang on to beat
the Trojans - Box Score
Whitmore Lake—The Redskins (Overall 10-8,
TCC 4-1) went to Whitmore Lake and took the TCC match 9-6. Tim Snell
led the Redskins with 3 hits, 2 RBI, 1 SB. Marcus Stewart earned the
win while allowing 4 hits, 2 earned runs, 3 walks, and striking out
five. Stewart also had a triple and 2 runs. Rylie Robinson came in
relief and struck out the final four outs to earn the save. Robinson
also added a double offensively. Stephen Cooley had two hits, including
a double and 2 RBI. Travis Houghton supplied a hit and 2 stolen bases.
Jesse Sexton drove in two runs.
4/26/08 - Redskins Defend Boyne City
Invitational Tournament Title -
Box Score
Boyne City—The
Redskins (Overall 9-8, TCC 3-1) defended their title from last year
beating Gaylord 1-0 in the opener, then beating Kingsley in a slug fest
25-12, and then capping off the campaign with a championship mercy over
Whittmore-Prescott 10-0. Rylie Robinson threw a complete game shutout
with striking out 10 against Gaylord. Marcus Stewart has a game
winning single in the 8th inning to clinch the win. Michael
Bohnett, Will Sanborn and Robinson each added a single. In the second
game, Stephen Cooley earned the win with allowing 4 earned runs with 2
strikeouts. Michael Bohnett had three hits and three RBI. Stephen
Cooley and Tim Snell each had a hit and four RBI. Jesse Sexton hit a 3
run homerun, and a RBI double. Robinson, Stewart, Nate Dreslinski,
Travis Houghton all had two hits apiece. Houghton had five stolen bases
and Stewart, Robinson, Dreslinski, Bohnett, Brandon Brewer, and Sanborn
each took one base. In the championship game, Marcus Stewart took the
mound and threw a one hitter behind great defense that included Travis
Houghton throwing out a running at first from right field. Stewart also
had two hits (including a triple), two runs, two RBI. Tim Snell,
Stephen Cooley, Brandon Brewer, Travis Hougton, and Jesse Sexton each
had a hit in the championship game.
4/23/08 - Redskins overpower BD -

Redskins (Overall 6-8, TCC 3-1) had a 13 run, 12 hit, 14 stolen base
game. Stephen Cooley earned the win with allowing one hit, one earned
run, 4 walk, 5 strikeout performance. Rylie Robinson, Marcus Stewart,
Cooley, and Travis Houghton each had 2 hits. Cooley and Stewart both
drove in 3 runs. Michael Bohnett, Tim Snell, Will Sanborn, and Hayden
Craig all had a hit. Houghton and Brandon Brewer each had 3 stolen
bases while Bohnett and Stewart swiped two.
4/21/08 - Summerfield salvages split

Clinton—The
Redskins (Overall 5-8, TCC 2-1) split with Summerfield, winning 6-2 and
then losing in the bottom of the 7th inning 3-2. In the win,
Rylie Robinson earned the win with a 5 hit, 2 earned run, 3 walk and 10
strike out performance. Tim Snell and Mike Bohnett each put two hits on
the board. Stephen Cooley, Will Sanborn, and Dan Thomas all had a hit.
4/19/08 - Redskins Rebound and beat

Redskins went 1-2 on the day at the Clinton Invitational. The Redskins
(Overall 4-7,TCC 1-0) lost first to Three Rivers 10-9 in a nail bitter,
then took a 12-0 loss to Dexter , then beat eventual champion Parma
Western 9-8, on a Mike Bohnett single that scored two in the bottom of
the sixth inning. Bohnett had four hits including the game winner.
Nate Dreslinski had three hits for the game, while Will Sanborn and
Stephen Cooley each supplied two hits for the Redskins. Rylie Robinson
and Tim Snell both had singles. Marcus Stewart earned the win in
relief.
4/18/08 - New League, New Attitude.

Sand Creek—The
Redskins (Overall 3-5, TCC 1-0) started their new league with TCC
perennial power Sand Creek. Rylie Robinson took the mound against Sand
Creek and threw a gem. Robinson allowed 1 earned run on 5 hits with 2
walks while striking out 13 batters. At the plate Robinson supplied 2
hits and 2 RBI. Marcus Stewart and Stephen Cooley each also had 2
hits. Tim Snell had a hit and 2 RBI. While Jesse Sexton also had a
hit.
4/16/08 - Redskins strike early and
often, down Irish 9-3.

Ann Arbor—The
Redskins (Overall 2-5, TCC 0-0) traveled to Vets Park in Ann Arbor to
take on the Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard Irish. Marcus Stewart earned the
win with allowing 3 hits, 0 earned runs, 3 walks, while stiking out
six. Mike Bohnett, Rylie Robinson, Tim Snell, Marcus Stewart, and Nate
Dreslinski each had a hit.
4/14/08-Napoleon
takes two from the Redskins 9-4 and 4-2.
Napoleon—Sophomore
Stephen Cooley took the mound and suffered the loss while throwing a
three hitter. Cooley allowed 4 earned runs while walking six and
striking out four. Sophomore Marcus Stewart led the offense with two
hits including a double and three stolen bases. Sophomore Jesse Sexton
supplied two hits and two stolen bases. Senior Tim Snell, junior
Brandon Brewer, sophomores Michael Bohnett and Stephen Cooley, and
freshman Hayden Craig each supplied a hit. The hit for Craig was his
first of his varsity career.
The second game was
shortened due to darkness but sophomore Rylie Robinson took the loss
while allowing 2 earned runs on four hits while striking out four.
Senior Tim Snell, sophomores Michael Bohnett and Rylie Robinson each had
a hit. Sophomore Marcus Stewart had a run scored.

4/10/08 - Robinson Homers to Power Clinton
Grass Lake--Rylie Robinson's 3 run homerun in the 5th inning sealed the deal in
game one of a darkness shortened doubleheader in Grass Lake. The
Redskins won the first 5-1 while dropping the 5 inning nightcap 6-4.
Robinson went the distance on the mound allowing 4 hits while striking
out 13 warriors. Will Sanborn added 3 hits on the day as the
Redskins chalked up victory number 1 in the 2008 Season.
