5/15/2010 - Redskins win Clinton Invitational with dominate pitching and explosive offense Clinton—The Redskins (Overall 18-4, TCC 8-0) dominated the competition on the day by beating rival Manchester 16-1 in four innings, beating Erie Mason 13-1 in five innings, and beating division 1 L’Anse Cruese 5-1 in the championship. The Redskins allowed only 5 hits and 3 runs while striking out 22 of the 48 outs. The offense outscored the opponents 34-3 and had 31 hits, 12 doubles, 1 triple, and a homerun. Senior Stephen Cooley led the Redskins all day but earned the victory against Manchester allowing 1 earned run, 1 walk, and three strikeouts. Cooley led the offense with a single, double, and RBI. Senior Stefan Spurlock had a single, double, two runs, 2 RBI. Senior Jesse Sexton had 2 singles, 2 RBI, and 2 runs. Senior Mike Bohnett, senior Marcus Stewart, senior Rylie Robinson, junior Nate Dreslinski, and junior Hayden Craig each had a hit. In the second game, Stewart took on Erie Mason and threw a one hitter while walking one and striking out 8. Stewart was also 2 for 2 at the plate including a double and an RBI. Cooley had a huge game at the plate with a 3 for 3 performance, including 2 doubles, a walk-off three run homerun to plate the mercy run plus 2, 3 runs, and 6 RBI. Bohnett, Craig, Spurlock, Sexton, Dreslinski, and senior Cam Clark each had a hit. In the championship game Robinson took the mound and earned the victory for the title. Robinson allowed 1 earned run, 1 walk, and struck out 11. Cooley stayed hot with two more hits, a run, and 2 more RBI. Spurlock had two hits including a double, 2 runs, an RBI, and 2 stolen bases. Bohnett had 2 hits and 2 runs. Stewart and senior Josh Lovejoy each had a double in three trips to the plate. 5/12/2010 - Redskins continue to roll in TCC, mercy Britton-Deerfield 11-0, 12-0 Britton—The Redskins (Overall 15-4, TCC 8-0) beat Britton-Deerfield 12-0 and 11-0 in a TCC showdown. Senior Rylie Robinson earned the victory with allowing one hit, 1 walk, and striking out seven. Senior Michael Bohnett led the offense with 3 hits, 2 runs, 2 RBI, and a stolen base. Senior Stefan Spurlock also paced the Redskins with 3 hits including a double, 1 run, 4 RBI, and 3 stolen bases. Junior Hayden Craig had two hits including a triple, 2 runs, and 1 RBI. Senior Stephen Cooley, senior Jesse Sexton, senior Marcus Stewart each had a hit. In the nightcap, the hits kept coming as Cooley had two more hits, both doubles, with a run and 4 RBI. Spurlock earned the win while also supplying a single and 2 RBI. Senior Cam Clark was 3 for 3 with 4 RBI and a stolen base. 5/10/2010 - Seniors lift Redskins past 10th ranked Whiteford Clinton—It took the Redskins (Overall 13-4, TCC 6-0) eight innings to get past Whiteford and stay undefeated in the Tri-County Conference. Senior Stephen Cooley was the leader with his performance on the mound and at the plate. Cooley threw 7.1 innings allowed 1 earned run, only 4 hits, walked three, and struck out 9, while going 3 for 4 at the plate. The dramatic ending came in the bottom of the eighth inning, after Whiteford had scored a run, senior Marcus Stewart hit a walk off triple to score Cooley and senior Jesse Sexton for the win. Senior Rylie Robinson came in relief and earned the victory with pitching two-thirds of an inning, allowing zero earned runs and striking out 1. Senior Mike Bohnett had a double and a RBI. Senior duo Stefan Spurlock and Josh Lovejoy each added a hit. Junior Hayden Craig had two hits on the day. box score 4/30/2010 - Clinton beats Summerfield 6-1 to continue to stay unbeaten in the TCC. Clinton—The Redskins (Overall 12-4, TCC 5-0) beat Summerfield 6-1 to stay unbeaten in the TCC. Senior Rylie Robinson threw a complete game, allowed only 5 hits, 0 earned runs. Robinson only walked 2 while striking out 10. Robinson also was 1 for 2 with a run from the plate. Senior Stephen Cooley led the offense with a 2 for 2 performance with a RBI and a double. Senior Stefan Spurlock and senior Marcus Stewart both added two hits. Senior Mike Bohnett and senior Josh Lovejoy both had a hit to help pace the offense. box score 4/28/2010 - Clinton continues to beat rival Sand Creek Clinton—Clinton Varsity Baseball team continues to dominate in the TCC. The Redskins (Overall 11-4, TCC 4-0) beat their TCC rival Sand Creek 4-1. Senior Stephen Cooley threw a gem of a game to take the victory while scattering two hits, zero earned, 4 base on balls, and struck out 7. Senior Rylie Robinson came in the seventh inning and threw three strikes to strike out the final batter and earn the save. Junior Hayden Craig was 2 for 2 from the plate with a run and 2 RBI. Senior Jesse Sexton had two hits. While senior Mike Bohnett, junior Josh Sanborn, senior Marcus Stewart, and Robinson all had a hit. Cooley and junior Nate Dreslinski each drove in a run. box score
4/27/2010 - Redskins continue to roll in TCC with a 16-0 and 12-2 mercies. Adrian—The Redskins (Overall 10-4, TCC 3-0) continue to roll in the TCC with 16-0 mercy in 3 innings and 12-2 mercy in 5 innings. Senior Marcus Stewart earned the victory with allowing 1 hit, 1 walk, and striking out 6. Stewart also was 1 for 3 at the plate with a run and a RBI. Junior Nate Dreslinski, senior Jesse Sexton, and senior Rylie Robinson all had two hits. Dreslinski added 5 RBI. Senior Mike Bohnett added a double, 2 runs, and a RBI. Junior Hayden Craig had a hit, 3 RBI and 2 runs. Senior Stefan Spurlock was 1 for 2 with 3 runs and 4 stolen bases. Senior Stephen Cooley was 1 for 1 with 2 runs, 2 RBI, and a stolen base. In the second game of the double header, senior Josh Lovejoy earned his first career varsity win with a 12-2 win. Lovejoy threw 4 and 2/3 innings to earn the win while allowing 1 hit, 2 earned runs, walking five, hitting 2 batters, and striking out 8 batters. Cooley led the offense with a 3 for 4 performance that included 3 doubles, and 3 RBI. Dreslinski, Sexton, both had 2 hits including a double. Bohnett had a hit, 2 runs, RBI, and a stolen base. Stewart had a hit, run, RBI, and stolen base. Senior Cam Clark also had a hit. Sophomore Alex Karapas had his first career varsity hit with a double down the line and also drove in 4 RBI. 4/25/2010 - Redskins come in third in Eaton Rapids Tournament Eaton Rapids—The Redskins (Overall 8-4, TCC 1-0) came away with two wins on the day in Eaton Rapids. In the opener, the Redskins lost to eventual champion of the tournament Battle Creek Harper Creek 5-3. Senior Stefan Spurlock took a tough loss allowing only 2 earned runs, walking one, and striking out six. Spurlock offensively added a hit and a run. Senior Stephen Cooley added a double and an RBI. Seniors Marcus Stewart, Rylie Robinson, and Jesse Sexton each had a hit. In the second game of the day, Cooley took the mound and came away victorious against division 1 Dearborn Edsel Ford 8-2. Cooley threw a complete game allowing 5 hits, 2 earned runs, 6 walks, and struck out 7. Stewart and Sexton each had two hits and 3 RBI. Robinson had a hit and a run. In the consolation game, the Redskins took on the host Eaton Rapids and won 3-0. Robinson earned the victory with a complete game shutout while striking out 13. Junior Hayden Craig had two hits and a run. Robinson, Spurlock, senior Josh Lovejoy, and senior Mike Bohnett all added a hit. box score
4/21/2010 - Clinton starts conference play with tough win over Whiteford 4-2. Ottawa Lake—The Redskins (6-3 Overall, 1-0 TCC) travelled to Ottawa Lake to open their conference play versus Whiteford. Senior Rylie Robinson took the mound and while throwing a complete game, 5 hits, 0 earned runs, 4 walks, 12 strike outs while earning the win. Robinson also contributed 2 hits and 2 stolen bases offensively. Senior Jesse Sexton also had two hits including a triple. Senior Stephen Cooley got things rolling offensively with a majestic two run homerun. Junior Hayden Craig also had 2 hits with a stolen base. Seniors Josh Lovejoy and Mike Bohnett both has a hit to help the offensive attack. box score
Clinton wins emotional game against rival
Hudson Hudson—The Clinton Varsity Baseball team
travelled to Hudson to take a 7-2 victory home with them. Senior
Stephen Cooley earned the win with 1 earned run while scattering 7
hits, 1 K, and 4 BB. Senior Stefan Spurlock went 2 for 3 with a
double, run, RBI, and stolen base to pace the Redskins (5-3 Overall,
0-0 TCC). Senior Marcus Stewart was 2 for 4 with 2 runs and 4
stolen bases. Seniors Rylie Robinson, Jesse Sexton, Josh Lovejoy,
and juniors Nate Dreslinski and Josh Sanborn each had a hit. box score
Redskins go 2-1 in Clinton Invitational
Tournament
Clinton—The Redskins (4-3) lost the
opening game 7-2 to Parma Western but bounced back with a 5-3
victory over Vandercook Lake and then a 10-5 win over Dexter.
Senior Marcus Stewart took the loss in game one pitching four
and one third innings allowing 3 earned runs, 5 walks, and
striking out 5. Stewart supplied a hit, 2 runs, and 2 stolen
bases offensively in the loss. Senior Rylie Robinson had two
hits including a double. Junior Josh Sanborn was 1 for 2 with a
RBI. Senior Josh Lovejoy also had a hit.
In game two against Vandercook Lake,
Robinson took the mound and came out victorious 5-3. Robinson
allowed 3 hits, and 2 earned runs, two walks, and struck out
12. Robison also had 2 hits and a RBI offensively. Sanborn and
junior Nate Dreslinski each had a triple, run, and RBI. Senior
Stefan Spurlock supplied a double, stolen base, and a run.
Junior Hayden Craig had a hit and a run.
In the final game Spurlock took the mound
and came out victorious with a 10-5 win. Spurlock allowed 3
earned runs, 3 walks, 6 hits, and struck out 7. Offensively,
Spurlock paced the Redskins with 2 hits, including a double,
run, and 2 RBI. Senior Stephen Cooley was 3 for 3 with a
double, 2 runs, and 2 RBI. Stewart was 3 for 4 with a triple, 2
runs, RBI, and 2 stolen bases. Sanborn had 2 hits including a
double and 3 RBI. Senior Jesse Sexton had a double and RBI.
Robinson, Craig, and Dreslinski each had a hit.

Clinton splits with Ida
Ida—The Redskins (2-2) went to Ida
and came out with a split, 9-3 win in the opener and a 5-4 loss
in the nightcap that was shortened due to darkness. Senior
Stephen Cooley earned the win in the opener allowing zero earned
runs, 4 walks, and 12 strikeouts. Cooley also had a double and
2 RBI at the plate. Junior Hayden Craig led the offense with
three hits. Seniors Stefan Spurlock, Jesse Sexton, Josh
Lovejoy, and Rylie Robinson each supplied two hits for the
offense. Junior Nate Dreslinski, senior Mike Bohnett, and
senior Marcus Stewart both had a hit and a RBI for the Redskins.
Stewart took the loss in game two 5-4.
Stewart allowed 5 earned runs, 5 walks, and 5 hits, while
striking out 3. Craig paced the offense with two hits, a run,
and a RBI while Dreslinski, Spurlock, and Sexton each added a

Redskins open season with school's first
win over Adrian High School
Adrian—The Redskins (1-1) beat
Adrian 9-6 in game 2 of the double header as senior Stefan
Spurlock earned the win with allowing 5 earned runs, 5 walks,
and striking out 4. Spurlock also added a hit, two walks, 2
runs, 2 RBI, and a stolen base. Senior Stephen Cooley led the
Redskins with a 2 for 2 performance which include a double, 3
runs, and senior Josh Lovejoy also added 2 hits and an RBI.
Junior Nate Dreslinski also added a hit and two runs.
